Look Who Woke up from the Dead! Only Karl Lagerfeld & MET GALA can Bring Me Back!

Hello my fashion babies! I know! I know! You guys thought I was dead! Maybe the pandemic swept me away! But I guess there was no major event all these years that could tickle my Fashion senses! This is a little weird of me waking up after a long hibernation during the Met Gala Season and then vanishing for years! It’s not like I haven’t been watching closely what’s happening in the fashion world. Believe me, every red-carpet event that stirred  in the corners of the globe was scrutinized personally by my fashion gaze, but nothing excited me to drag myself to write about it except BLAKE LIVELY, whose sartorial choices keep me alive and in the hope that Fashion is still ALIVE!  

When I heard this year MET GALA was paying Homage to none other than the legendary God of Designers, Late Karl Lagerfeld, I couldn’t control myself to give up my couch and get alive and kicking! Karl is someone who changed the demographics of the fashion world and it's about time that MET woke up to him - A little too late though, I don't know why they all have to be dead to be celebrated! Look at Monroe, Kurt Cobain, even Cleopetra! We value the dead more! 

Now coming back to the MET event, this year's theme is going to be “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.’ Karl Lagerfeld has been someone who has ruled the Fashion world with panache! 

Sadly, in 2019, we lost the most iconic figure, a legendary designer who had achieved worldwide acclaim for his exceptional talent and creativity. At the age of 85, he passed away, leaving behind a legacy that has inspired and influenced countless fashion enthusiasts and professionals.

Throughout his illustrious career, this visionary designer had the privilege of leading some of the most renowned fashion houses in the world, including Fendi, Chanel, and his own eponymous label. In each of these roles, he acted as a creative director, bringing his unique vision and impeccable taste to every collection he produced.

No wonder Anna Wintour woke up to him!!! We needed a tribute to celebrate his incredible contributions to the world of fashion. This year’s first Monday of May will showcase some of his most iconic designs, highlighting his innovative masterpieces and his unparalleled ability to create wonders that capture the essence of contemporary style.

In addition to this, it is a perfect opportunity for his friends, colleagues, and collaborators to celebrate his life's work and pay homage to his legacy. Attendees of the gala are sure to draw inspiration from his designs, choosing to wear outfits that reflect his creative vision and embody the spirit of his remarkable career. 

Now coming back to my dissection of this year’s GALA! It’s going to be Epic! They had better do justice to Karl or I am coming after them! 

So, tomorrow! I am going to grab that popcorn and my keen glasses to judge the F**k out of every celebrity walking that Red Carpet of Scrutiny!
