Streets of Italy
Italy has always fascinated me in terms of culture, food,
history, language and most of all Fashion. Elegance is in the Italian blood,
and most Italians would unhesitatingly give up comfort in order to achieve
it. It is a nation that cherishes
outward appearances. Yes it is great if you have a good heart, but Italians
would expect you to have well-groomed hair, an impeccable sense of dressing and
a really neat pair of shoes besides. So
it is no wonder that some of the world’s best sartorial artists are from Italy. Fashion is almost a nation’s passion,
and to see the latest trends one need only a glance around the various piazzas,
restaurants and street. The nations
pride is the city Milan, which is often referred as the fashion capital of the
world. It is a city that for most
tourists could seem cold and uninviting. There is little to see as far as
tourist sites are concerned. However if fashion, glitz, glamour and a roaring
night life is what you are looking for then Milan is the place for you. Milanese fashionistas really take their style
statement seriously. Milan creates an atmosphere for free expression with
clothing. It is a place where dressing up and dressing different is essential
to fit in. Dressing with care and
confidence seems artless and effortless. They love to show off, but mostly in an Individualistic, understated
way. Italian street fashion is the most
authentic, the most genuine, revealing the ensembles that people really wear,
instead of what appearance on the runway or in an haute couture collection. It is often said that designers themselves
scope out the street for inspiration. For Italians it is not about clothes at
all, it’s all about an attitude; an attitude of custom-made, fluid
sophistication. I have collected some interesting pictures from Italian street
fashion during my research, which i would like to share it with you all.
