Happy Feet: From Cinderella to Carrie Bradshaw!

Remember what Carrie Bradshaw said, “I have this little substance abuse problem, Expensive Shoes.”  And we all know how Cinderella met her prince charming - just because of those gorgeous glass slippers. Now being a guy most of you would think how can I relate to shoes? But hey you all! Obsession to have all those sexy shoes in your closet is not only patented by women right? And like we all know – A man’s personality is judged by his shoes and I strongly believe in that. Brogues, boots, sneakers, dress shoes, loafers, and boat shoes – I love and lust them all. My heart starts racing when I stand outside a shoe store and it makes me feel on top of the world, when I wear them for the first time. If my house is on fire I would probably pick up all of my shoes and run. Now maybe that sounds shallow, but who cares I love them unavoidably.

Whenever I go out of my house to shop the first things I observe, is the way people carry their outfits or the way they match shoes with their clothes. And trust me most of the times, it disappoints me. Well, today I am here to talk about how to match those perfect shoes with your outfits. So girls! Get ready to look Chic... Here we go…

Play with Neutrals: Every woman has neutral color shoes in her closet. Neutral color shoes like black or white go safely with almost every outfit.

Choose a color: If you are planning to wear a printed dress, use the color in the print of your dress as a guide to what color shoes to select. If you dress is multi-colored and contains shades like red, blue, black, peach, orange or green any of these hues would look great!

Avoid Matchy-Matchy: It is common trap most women fall for by matching their shoes with their outfits. Blue dress? Blue shoes right? WRONG!! Never do that ever again. It looks really tacky. Try to contrast colors with you dress, which I am going to discuss in my next point.

Contrast is Amazing: If you are wearing a block color dress, think about wearing a contrasting color shoes. For instance if you wearing an orange outfit try to match it with cobalt blue shoes to turn heads.

If a color clash isn’t your cup of tea, look for neutral shoes, which are little off-centre and unexpected. Shoes in neutral color with some metal embellishments can also work wonders for your look.

Ladies! This week just audit your shoe wardrobe. You don’t need that many shoes; you just need those right pair of shoes. Nudes and neutral are a must-have in your closet and not to forget those classic black high heels. Try to add something playful and flirty to your shoe closet. So get ready to put your best foot forward! Have fun!
